Training for Boston After Schools
What is a Kit?  Do the activities link to state learning standards?  How do I get Kits?  These and many other questions will be answered during Kits Training Workshops.   We recognize that some after school program staff have never used Kits before or may be new to the field of teaching and child development.  In order to make your time with Kits productive and successful, the Boston Children’s Museum staff have created a training program to help your staff understand how to use Kits.  The activities within the Kits focus on problem solving, social skill development, and oral literacy by providing children with projects and activities that require critical thinking, creativity, collaborative work, and sharing ideas with each other.  Children learn to work in teams, and how to share their observations with other kids through discussions.

We have no trainings scheduled at this time.  To inquire about individual training sessions please call or email: (617) 426-6500 ext. 231, .Kits@BostonChildrensMuseum.org.
